New Process For Online Sales Tax
Dear Boutique Partners,
We have some exciting news on a new Tax Law that will make your lives easier while selling on Shoptiques. On June 21, 2018, the United States Supreme Court ruled in South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. that a state can require out-of-state sellers without a physical presence in that state (i.e., remote sellers) to collect and pay sales and use tax on sales delivered into the state.
We expect to launch this change in a few weeks and once launched Shoptiques will file all sales tax on your behalf. We will send you another email when this change goes into effect.
New Process - Shoptiques will collect applicable sales tax from the customer, file, and remit the tax directly to the local state government.
